Discover the "Cycle of Ages Saga" series!

Looking for a new series to get lost in? Discover Jeremy Hicks's exciting fantasy, the Cycle of Ages Saga series!

Cycle of Ages Saga: Finders Keepers, by Jeremy Hicks

"For the first time, (in a very long time,) I didn't see the plot twists and turns coming that seems to be standard in sword and sorcery novels and was just able to lose myself into the world of Faltyr. The characters are well fleshed out, with enough back-story to get to know and enjoy them. As well as wanting to read more about them. The settings were varied and descriptions were lush, but not overblown. It's got love, lust, blood, gore and a mystery that makes me chomp at the bit for the next installment." -- Amazon Reviewer

Kaladimus Dor, both dopey and dangerous, finds himself racing home across the sea aboard the mighty caravel, Nightsfall. He must return with the secretive contents of the chest in his possession to his home on the island of Moor’Dru. Unfortunately, his disastrous nature shipwrecks him and the survivors on an island full of ravenous inhabitants, both living and undead. Dor allies himself with members of the Finders Keepers mercenary guild and others to search for the Hallowed Vessel, their only means of escape from the nightmare.

Meet the Author

After nearly dying at birth, Jeremy Hicks gave up his ghost during the sorrowful autumn of his twelfth year. The outsider that occupied his body at that point did the best it could to imitate him. However, this being's bizarre sense of humor and inability to fully mimic human emotions kept it an outsider. After many unhappy years of trying to assimilate to this plane of existence and its daily doldrums, he turned to the cadre of demons in his life for other options. He teamed up with one of them inhabiting a ginger known as Barry Hayes and together they turned their nightmares into fiction. The writing team of Hicks & Hayes created an original horror-fantasy environment (Faltyr™), wrote a screenplay (The Cycle of Ages Saga: Finders Keepers) to introduce it, and then adapted it into a novelization of the same name. As a result, their first novel was published by Dark Oak Press in August 2013; the second was published in September 2015. Jeremy co-owns Broke Guys Productions and served as Associate Producer on the independent horror film, "Curse of the Rougarou." He is also a poet and short story writer. Two of his short stories are available in Dark Oak anthologies (Capes & Clockwork; Luna's Children). Another is available through Pro Se Press.

Discover the "Awakened Fate" series!

Looking for a new series to get lost in? Discover Skye Malone's exciting Awakened Fate series!

Awaken (Awakened Fate Book 1), by Skye Malone

"Awesome lore, thrilling story, and tons of characters to adore...I just loved Awaken! I admit, I wasn't sure what to expect with this one and I am so glad I gave it a shot because I really loved it!! With Chloe as our main character, I liked getting to discover everything as she did. There were a lot of moments I felt bad for her, but also commend her for being persistent in what she wanted and knew she needed. I'm looking forward to finding out more about her in future books!I really liked the story that Skye created in Awaken. It's a topic we know and love but with new lore thrown in that made the story so much more interesting and I loved trying to figure it all out along the way. There even was a thrill factor that made the story even more gripping through the pages. Overall, I was super impressed with this one and I cannot wait to get my hands on the second one!" -- Amazon Reviewer

Running away from home was never Chloe Kowalski’s plan. Neither was ending up the target of killers, or having her body change in unusual ways. She only wanted a vacation, someplace far from her crazy parents and their irrational fear of water. She only wanted to do something normal for once, and maybe get to know her best friend’s hot stepbrother a bit better at the same time.

But the first day she goes out on the ocean, strange things start to happen. Dangerous things that should be impossible. Things to which ‘normal’ doesn't even begin to apply.

Now madmen are hunting her. A mysterious guy with glowing blue eyes is following her. And her best friend’s stepbrother seems to be hiding secrets all his own.

It was supposed to be a vacation. It's turning out to be a whole lot more.

Meet the Author

Skye Malone is a fantasy and paranormal romance author, which means she spends most of her time not-quite-convinced that the magical things she imagines couldn't actually exist.

A Midwestern girl who migrated to the Pacific Northwest, she dreams someday of travelling the world - though in the meantime she'll take any story that whisks her off to a place where the fantastic lives beside the everyday. She loves strong and passionate characters, complex villains, and satisfying endings that stay with you long after the book is done. An inveterate writer, she can't go a day without getting her hands on a keyboard, and can usually be found typing away while she listens to all the adventures unfolding in her head.

Skye also writes YA urban fantasy under the name Megan Joel Peterson, and is the author of The Children and the Blood trilogy.

"The Hidden and the Maiden," by Eben Mishkin

The Hidden and the Maiden, by Eben Mishkin
Price: $0.99
374 pages, with a 4.8-star rating from 6 reviews

"A romp of a fantasy thriller! Mishkin has hit a home run with this romp of a fantasy thriller. The depth of the magical world in which the characters do battle is exhilarating. The ghosts and other creatures of the book’s universe fit together with a nuanced logic that leaves the reader satisfied that the forces at play have been carefully delineated. One of the main enjoyments is to read about a world of cars and phones and learn how magic sneakily coexists. The evil confronting the pair is amply malicious and the story zooms to an exciting finale." -- Amazon Reviewer

A wizard’s failed apprentice and a self-doubting medium embark on a race against time in Eben Mishkin’s fantastical debut, The Hidden and the Maiden.

The unsociable James Rathbone, once student to the last wizard, is forced into action when his dead master's secret elixir is stolen.

Con artist Kenton Dean uses the elixir to release the fallen god of death. He needs just one more thing for his plans to work: Helena Lawson, an heiress who holds unfathomable magical potential.

James sets off on a dangerous mission to rescue Helena and stop Kenton, but he cannot do it alone. Much to his chagrin, James must team up with Zephyr Wayne, a neurotic medium who’s convinced his powers are nothing more than the manifestation of his own psychosis.

As the only humans capable of seeing the threat, James and Zephyr must band together to save the world as they know it. But can James finally get his magic to work? And will Zephyr’s self-doubt ever allow him to unleash his full potential?

An absorbing blend of horror, fantasy, and real-world drama, The Hidden and the Maiden will leave readers guessing until the very last page.
